Why do LED lights have an energy efficiency class from E, F or G?

The evaluation scale for energy efficiency was revised in 2023 in order to make it clearer and more future -proof. The new classes range from A to G and replace the old A+, A ++ and A +++.

LED lights, which are now rated f or g, were often A +++ and are still extremely efficient. This change does not mean that the products are worse, but that the scale has become stricter. Even LED lights with F or G are among the best on the market and continue to offer high energy savings. The new scale ensures that consumers can better compare and recognize energy -efficient products.

Can I also mount the ceiling light on a wall?

The ceiling light is not suitable for wall mounting as the LED covers, which refract the light and ensure a pleasant lighting experience, are not firmly screwed into place but rest in the light due to gravity. If mounted on a wall, the LED covers would therefore not remain in their intended position.

Is the ceiling light dimmable?

No, the ceiling light is not dimmable. We deliberately decided against dimmable LEDs for the Aurelia ceiling light, as ceiling lights are primarily used to illuminate a room rather than to create a cozy ambience. Nevertheless, we chose a color temperature of 3000 K so that the luminaire can both create a cozy light pattern and fully illuminate a room. Aurelia thus manages the balancing act between room illumination and coziness.

Can I replace the LEDs?

The LEDs in the ceiling light can only be replaced by a specialist or our repair service. As we use high-quality components from OSRAM for our LED components, the likelihood of the LEDs breaking after some time is very low. The luminaire is also covered by our 5-year guarantee.
